The Kato CN Transcontinental 7-Car Passenger Set brings a great-looking passenger car set to your N Scale railroad. This train was typically hauled behind EMD F7 diesel locomotives wearing CN Sargent Stripes. In the waning years of U.S. railroad-operated passenger trains, forward-thinking Canadian National saw opportunities to purchase the best and most popular streamlined cars as U.S. lines put them up for sale. The Kato CN Transcontinental 7-Car Passenger Set uses a variety of ex-Union Pacific, Milwaukee Road, and Pennsylvania Railroad cars which the CN acquired over the years as they built up their passenger service in the pre-VIA Rail days of the late 1960s and 1970s.

Cars feature detailed, injection-molded bodies, interior seats, metal wheels with electrical pickups, Kato magnetic knuckle couplers and accurate decoration with car names. Cars in the Transcontinental 7-car set include:
